I’ve increasingly noticed the lack of good customer service especially in government agencies.
For instance, I went to a Huduma Centre recently and everyone from the guards, to the help desk, to the last till, was rude or dismissive and hardly helpful (the irony). I do not believe there was anything I did or said that warranted such behaviour.
I understand that they deal with many people and it can be frustrating but projecting onto those they are meant to serve helps nobody.
Do you think there should be universal training on customer service no matter what industry you work in?
Is there a deeper problem we’re overlooking e.g. workers being overworked and/or underpaid?
