BREAKING: If you want to kill me, you will have to do it in public – Bobi Wine tells Museveni. Is this an assasination attempt?

  • 4

Presidential aspirant Robert Kyagulanyi a.k.a Bobi Wine has vowed to not use diversionary routes to his campaign rally sites. He has said the diversionary routes are being imposed on him as part of a secret plan to kill him.

Throughout his campaign, police have been barring Bobi Wine from using main routes to access his rally sites and instead diverted him backroads that are bad and isolated.

“Whenever we are diverted, they ambush us in isolated areas and shoot at us or arrest us. In just two weeks they have killed 300 of my supporters and arrested thousands. I tell Museveni this, I have decided I will not use his diversionary routes. I will stay on the main roads. If you want to kill me, you will have to do it in public and on camera!” said Bobi Wine while campaigning in Zombo today.

He pointed out that Museveni has attempted to kill him on several occasions, but failed because the media was always there.

“Thanks to the media. They have exposed Museveni’s evil plans. He has failed to kill me because the media is always there. Nothing he does will stop the revolution. I am not here because I am a professor, a soldier, or a politician. I am a freedom fighter. When I look at you I see myself and so is you. You see yourselves in me and that’s why I am here to represent you. I want to bring an end to slavery. We have been made slaves in our own land,” the highly popular candidate told a mammoth crowd of his supporters in Zombo. He then headed for Madi Okoro.

It has definitely not been a fair campaign run. Considering his many arrests and the people’s riots, he is the closest competitor and biggest threat Museveni faces. Museveni may have thought of eliminating competition. If that is what he would really have wanted though, there is no place Bobi would hide to escape that. He’d be killed in a police custody, in a cell, he’d get an “accident” while traveling….I mean, he would not be safe even in his own home! There is always that one person who can flip given the right price. That said, if God forbid Bobi dies like now, Museveni losing the election would be a lesser problem to Museveni
