In June Afrobloggers hosts a blog everyday challenge where bloggers from all corners of the continent are invited to participate.
Unlike most blogging challenges that are common on the internet the #WinterABC is not simply about the mundane and frivolous but set in raising a consciousness about the continent… The narrative for Africa is mostly spoken for and spoken about and rarely does Africa speak for itself.
This challenge in a small way is supposed to ignite some critical conversations that we should be having about our experiences and observations:
If you have any suggestions for topics that should be included in this blog everyday challenge please do share and we will see how we can incorporate into it, this is a chance for some of those you have always wanted to ask or have people talking about like is it just you or are we losing our identity, what does your identity even mean in this global world?
This will also be a great way to connect with bloggers from the Cape of Africa to the Horn Of Africa
and if you were considering starting a blog this might be the perfect way to jump into the blogging pool or if your blog was waning in consistency then the ideal challenge to get back onto the horse and gain some momentum and make new friends too
Can a blog change the world? Maybe not but a community could, now imagine bloggers across the continent writing about the similar topics, what conversations do you think would be started?
Can a blog change the world? I dont know but the possibilities are limitless, dont die with your story untold
