As a contribution to Kenya’s efforts for building a unifying cultural identity, Denmark increases its support to the culture sector. Peaceful development in Kenya can be enhanced by art, culture and creative industries, says Denmark’s Ambassador to Kenya, Mr. Geert Aagaard Andersen.
Yesterday evening, the Danish Ambassador officially launched the Kenya Culture Programme supported by Center for kultur og Udvikling/ Danish Center for Culture and Development and the Danish Embassy.
“The power of contemporary culture is underestimated in Kenya. Culture is what binds a country together and it goes beyond ethnic definitions. Therefore I am so pleased to have all you young and progressive talents gathered here.” – Danish Ambassador, Geert Aagaard Andersen
For the launch the Danish Ambassador invited all the Kenyan partners to the new programme for an intimate launch dinner at the Ambassador’s residence in Nairobi.
