How best can one inspire youth to focus on using their talents, especially art. When they have other problems like food, money etc

  • 4

We have a lot of youth who are talented in our communities. They spend most of their time trying to find food or are distracted by drugs and quick cash.

Yet they could use their talents. Yet alone most don’t discover their talents. We are the leaders of tommorow. A top down approach seems not to work coz our most of our eldeds do not inspire us.

All we have is media, social media and friends. These are the things closer to youth unlike suited men and women in high up offices and community youth don’t see them. Would like to know how best youth can be inspired to work on themselves. Because talents with hard work can give them life time opportunities.

Offer government subsidies on basic needs and give special support and recognition to talented youth.

Food and money are necessities but understanding how to have a steady flow in the long run is the ultimate goal. We can’t wait to be inspired by people for us to realize our purpose. If we do so some will wait forever. The youth should understand that only them can change their lives and focus on their talents as you say or any other thing that can elevate them. When the youth understand this they’ll pursue the opportunities and create theirs where there isn’t. Not waiting for other elder people to do so.

Yes as much as I can’t deny you are solidly saying the truth. But still giving them direct food will not inspire them to do something.

From your self relience approach, yes. That’s a good way to start. But with what mode of. Reliance now.

It is not possible to inspire change on an empty stomach. Even when it comes, we will probably have already died of hunger. Food is a basic human need and right as well. No one should ever have to sleep on an empty stomach in the whole world.

Our governments are not concern about the people and so we have to be self-reliant and plan our own survival. Otherwise, we will die and life will go on for everyone including friends and family. I know it is sad but that’s the reality.
