The pattern of failure to control intense sexual impulses and resulting repetition of sexual behaviours is manifested over an extended period of time. Then, we refer to it as an addiction. During this pandemic, people tend to isolate themselves and practice self quarantine. By this, most people are affected sexually,, especially the sex addicts. They tend to confide in pornography from the websites. That being the only platform that can quench their sexual desires,, they tend to masturbate often while on the pornographic sites. And the behavior is extended during this quarantine period because if the same.
I’d say, we can reduce this addiction, first, by acceptance. Acceptance is the key to be truly free, and so it’s a step when the person first accepts that they can do without sex. It’s usually mental and that’s why they keep going back to the sites to watch and satisfy themselves through masturbation.
After accepting that, you can practice letting go of those thoughts of sex that are floating in your mind. Don’t allow them to take over. Let them get carried away. Indulge yourself in other activities like reading a novel, or trying out a new recipe. Just something else to distract you. The thoughts will definitely come back but you have to run them off.
You could also involve God in this exercise. Pray hard, and focus on letting the urges go. It’ll help alot.
Also, there exists therapeutic services designed to support such people. Try and engage in such platforms instead of pornographic sites.

There is nothing wrong with masturbation as long as it is not overdone and does not affect other people around you like the crazy men who were doing it right on the street. It is actually helpful and makes you understand your sexuality better.

For me the fact that you wote Teens is a little confusing for me… Because I do think that that is what most teens do… They grow out of it as they become adults and when adults now are the ones stuck at it… This is where the problem is. And I do think they can get out for it. But needs a couple of processes to happen before that.
1. Admitting they have a problem
2. Seeking help
3. Putting in the work as advised.
