Is self pleasure/masturbation linked to spirituality?

  • 3

I’ve been enrolling in a Tantra and Tantric Sex course and there is a lot debate about how self pleasure is a form of meditation in which the body is able to transcend into the spiritual realm. How true is this and are there any personal experiences here?

We can talk about all the pleasures of Masturbation but it all comes with one cost which is Addiction. I have friends who have gotten to the point of making self-pleasure a preference to sex with their partners.

To make it worse, the instant gratification it gives doesn’t need any work or struggle and only benefits you which undermines the other person in the relationship.

Believe it or not, there’s an Alcoholics version for Sex & Sexual Fetich Addicts where hundreds f people seek help each day. One of the most common thing people regret here is that they thought they were taking charge of their bodies, little did they know that it was their body that was taking charge of them.

Of course, the decision is yours as an adult. But just like alcohol or nicotine addicts, sex addiction is too mild to be felt until it is too heavy to be broken. The choice is yours but mine is to enjoy the the thrill of chasing a potential partner, and once I get there, make sure we both share that special gift.

Call it spirituality or anything else but the main reason behind all the pain, regret and guilt that comes with sexual addiction and masturbation is that the orgasmic pleasure of sex is too deep to be fully experienced by someone on their own without eventually destroying them.

Why are we romanticising Masturbation? It is a normal sexual need just like a hug, a cuddle or actual sex. Daniel shows us best in this video 🙂

First things first, where did you enroll for the tantric sex course. I should have a look at it too.
So now, I agree that self sexual pleasure is a form of meditation journey… It can be a form of stress management technique, it can be a form of relaxation technique… And it is a spiritually liberating and stabilising go to strategy for me. Remember that anything if abused can lead to addiction but attaching a fulfilling meaning to self pleasure keeps one’s mind stable. Sometimes, for me, self pleasure is a form of transcendence to another supernatural realm that makes a human one with the universe and so one with the one who owns them, one with God, when employed wisely… An interaction of the physical body with its energy and the energy of the universe… ☺

Masturbation is physiological function and body reaction like sweating, hunger, itchy feelings etc. All these when acted upon lead to a sot of satisfaction that gives pleasure. The spiritual part is an option because we can make anything spiritual if we want to. What is your definition of Spirituality? That can also change the meaning of all this.
