but how do you keep track of so many passwords it can be or rather it is very hectic

I keep hearing that I’m supposed to use a different password on every internet site where I have an account. What a pain! I can’t remember all of those passwords. Yeah, I know. You want me to use a password manager thing, but that seems like putting a bunch of really important things into a single basket. What if that basket gets hacked? I use a strong password, why isn’t that enough?

Weak password strong padlock. Problem solved.

If you use the same password everywhere, a single leak of that password puts all your accounts at risk. Hackers will be able to log in to your other online accounts as well.

The top 10 most common passwords were:
123456
123456789
qwerty
password
111111
12345678
abc123
1234567
password1
12345
“iloveyou” just missed out on the top 10, while “monkey” and “dragon” made surprise appearances in the top 20. Plenty of users also used passwords as an opportunity to employ a colorful array of swear words.

Is this for real? Lol!! Just wrong, not illegal right?

You only need to remember one password, and the rest is taken care of. it is not difficult. I use Last Pass and i have 40 different accounts.. and every account has its own password. i only have to remember one master password and the rest will auto-fill themselves when i need to log in.

I have head of it but never used it. Will try it out and see. Just thinking… what if a hacker gets my last pass password, does that mean they have access to all my accounts and how does last pass prevent that security breach. Do they have some sort of two step phone verification or geo locked access?
Willis
No they don’t. Once you loose access to your last pass password, you loose access to your accounts. A hacker will only get your password if you give it out or if you have used it elsewhere. if you pick a password that is 12 characters long and also include numbers and special characters, your master password will not be difficult to crack.

People know it is wrong but with so many accounts and passwords to remember it becomes hectic. Even password management programs like Last Pass that help you remember less need a password for you to log in.
