because of COVID and lockdown companies are now adopting remote work schedules and businesses are now migrating to online platforms to reach their clients.

Blogging is an area that has not yet been sufficiently monetised at least in a model that is sustainable in Africa… But people are setting up online shops and market stores on their blogs using then to showcase the talents and services that they offer or even selling advertising space.

I actually help people start their own blogs so that at the very least they can reach out to a more global audience.

I have a blog titled Becoming The Muse, where I write on the beauty and chaos of the place I call home while also celebrating the magic and mystery of my ancestry… In my own way I am trying to capture the history that I am seeing unfold before my very eyes and I like to joke that one day in the way we used Rock Paintings to to figure out the way of life our ancestors, my blog will in its own way, offer insights from my perspective…

A lot of our past history used to be passed from generation to generation via oral tradition in folk tales and the like, a lot of information has been lost along the way and some never to be found.. Searching for Africa’s history you will find the authoritative texts arent written by native Africans our history has been told for us.

I usually encourage people to take up blogging as a way of taking back the narrative and populating the digital space with our perspectives and am part of team that encourages, supports and connects bloggers across the continent AfroBloggers
