What we have in Kenya are side shows. The fight against corruption has been ‘weaponized’ to an instrument of political gain. If you support the government and you are corrupt then you aren’t hunted down. The moment you speak against the government, you are hunted day and night.

Also, number 2 in this country is one of the most corrupt people in this country. But what does the president do? Sit and watch. On the other hand, ‘La Familia’ has turned the government into their own machinery to enrich themselves. Setting the engines rolling towards State Capture. There is no serious fight against corruption. Just a fight to destroy the competition in business using government machinery.

Yes security starts with you, but what is the work of the State if everyone decided to make security their work? There is a reason why we had a Westphalian Treaty when it came to the formation of a State. In return, the state was to assure that we the citizens are safe. ‘Security Starts with you’ is just a phrase meant to make the government evade accountability.

If you have done many internships and volunteer work, its not like they don’t count. Wait till you apply for a job and realize that the people you have come for the interview with have zero experience not even the internships. And an internship is actually part of the experience you know. since we also have people who get paid pretty well for being interns.

on the other hand, try venturing in something available. 8-4-4 in kenya for example, basically makes someone have a general perspective and view of the job market and isn’t specialized. you may loo for a way in being self employed to get the experience rather than just wait if at all the job you are looking for,you are able to do a start up business or company in that field.
