In my opinion, the ministry of education has played it’s part. More people are getting the basic education and higher education. So I wouldn’t think that having universities get their graduants employed is in their hands.
However, having so many unemployed people in the country simply shows that the economy is not growing as fast as the population. Thousands of people graduate every year all waiting to replace people in their jobs. This is what I mean, to get a degree takes at least 4 years, to get a retirement takes at least 25 years. You get the point?
It is more practical if universities reduce their intakes, maybe if there are fewer graduates, the quality of education will increase.

The education system in Kenya is a cramming program. We basically cram our way to the job market, we even cram the interview questions SMH. In this case, I would want to think it is more of a contract;a win-win situation. The girl gets an education and the man gets a wife. If there was love then it was either surpassed by greed or desperation. If this arrangement was put in paper, the court would be an option. now, this was “kienyeji” and matters was taken in the hands. Bottom line, what ever it is, stick to what you can.
