Religion? What is that?

“Religion is the opium of the masses” Karl Marx. This most frequently paraphrased statement of the great German philosopher and economics Guru is true if you as me.
Religion is a great motivator as people believe in a higher power that suppernaturally comes and makes all things right. People even die for this course.
What Africa hasn’t realized is that, Religion is a great tool to aid development, when channelled right which the western world perfectly used. The UK and the USA were all built with the drive of Cristianity. Africa on the other hand, as always are using this powerful tool of religion’s opiumness to enrich our selfish interests. And clearly, it is working.
The irony of all of this is that, true Christianity is not a Religion.

Do you think we as Africans should have used our traditional religion to develop ourselves rather than toe the line of Christianity which we don’t really understand and appreciate
