Leila Awale echoed Jim Carrey’s words, “Life doesn’t happen to you, it happens for you.” in a series of thought provoking quotes that bought everyone’s attention at the Little Theatre Club in Mbaraki on Thursday evening. You would think there is nothing much to say about purpose of life, or that it is such a cliché thing to talk about, but the audience in attendance on this day had other ideas.
We argued over the meaning of dreams and purpose. What is a purpose? What is a dream? Nadia Ahmed and Nuru Bahati teamed up to charge the ever growing enthusiastic crowd. By the time the poetry duo of Genesis with this line, “You can disagree with nature but you cannot change it.’’ were finishing with their performance, we were full of retrospect.
Have you found the it that drives your living? Our existence in the cosmos is an every day riddle we battle to crack. Some have found their gifting and continue to bless the world. Some are still searching. Leila Awale drove the point home exquisitely. Listen to your gut. Feed your mind with the things you need. She insisted that purpose is spiritual. You’ve got to tap into your own being to understand the way of your life.
After losing her father, Leila went on a journey to India where she met her calling – serving people. She said he went with half of her. That sometimes you need to be shaken up by something. Only you have the power to take responsibility. To move your life forward. You will need to find your passion and never give up on it. And the words of George Bernard Shaw struck just right; life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.
Creation is hard work. You’ve got to be ready to sweat. To sacrifice yourself. To let go of things that are holding you down. It’s the only way to grow.
The evening was decorated by poetry and music. We were leaving at 8:10pm satisfactorily, anticipating another jolly session in the coming month.

So as usual every month I attend @fatumasvoice amazing forums and educational discussions at Little Theater Club and this time the topic was “PURPOSE OF LIFE”.
What is our Purpose of Life? Why were we born? At some point of our life these questions hits us in the face and we start to wonder. Why is it I am here?
We all have different definitions of our purpose of life and there are not all good obviously. I mean some people think that their purpose in life is a God given purpose and do unspeakable, horrible things. Some think they don’t have a purpose they are just here to go with the flow what ever comes at them in life they just accept it and be part of it and move on. (Read More on Mohd Bauss’ Blog)
The special aspect about discovering your purpose is that every individual has their own timing and place as to where and how they discover their purpose. So if there is one thing you shouldn’t be worried about it is Not Knowing your purpose.
It may require you take baby steps to get there, but once you can put your finger to it then everything falls into place.
We were all brought into this World for a Purpose, it is just a Matter of Time before you put it into action. So Never give up on yourself, you are closer than you think!
