UPDATE: A story posted on the Kenya digest (now deleted) of Richard Ngatia selling Jack Ma’s coronavirus equipment donations with the help of Kenyan government officials shows how corruption starts from the Government. Ngatia is the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Chairman, who also owns the Galileo Lounge – an entertainment joint in Nairobi.
On one end I am mad at the extent at which people fabricate such stories. On the other, I am so glad to hear its false but still perplexed at how such cases seem to be the norm. Nothing surprises people who are so used to corruption. However, we are getting tired of billions being spent on useless projects like BBI rallies, Huduma Number campaigns, Presidential funerals…
- BBI rallies – Ksh 10 billion allocated
- President Moi funeral – Ksh 100 million used
- Hon Raila Odinga – Ksh 72 million allocated
- Huduma Number/Card/Campaign… ?!! 🙁 🙁 🙁
In contrast, when it comes to real needs like coronavirus, it becomes every poor Kenyan for themselves as they try tofend for their wife, husband or chilren:
- Quarantine = at own cost
- Business losses = at own cost
- Covid-19 Tests = at own cost
- Protective masks =at own cost
- Evacuating Kenyans from china = at own cost
- Treatment = at own cost
- Sanitizers = at own cost
- Staying at home = at own cost
What DPP Haji told corrupt politicians before arrests on Cabinet Secretaries commenced
The profile and Richard Ngatia’s biography, which you won’t find on Wikipedia, reads Business man. Philanthropist. Entrepreneur. Husband. Father. As the chairman, Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he has been one of the men behind President Uhuru Kenyatta in his rise in power.
Mr. Richard NGATIA is the Managing Director and CEO of Megascope Healthcare, a major corporate player in the healthcare industry in Kenya and across the entire continent.
Richard Ngartia elected unopposed for KNCCI Presidency
Richard Ngatia made headlines when he launched a manifesto announcing his intention to run and succeed businessman Kiprono Kittony at the revamped Kenya Chamber of Commerce and Industry as its President.
Surprisingly, Ngatia’s business manifesto, billionaire profile and closeness to rich people in power, manifested itself in a great way in May 2019, when he managed to clinch the highly contested Kenya National Chambers of Commerce presidency, without opposition.
Being one of few rich people President Uhuru has meals with in their homes but never quite seen together in public, Richard Ngatia’s estimated earnings, wealth and net worth is definitely in the billions.
Ngatia was confirmed as the new Chamber President for Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KNCCI) on June 8th 2019 in an event that was attended by many of the chambers of commerce in the EAC member states.
