United Nations recently unveiled a new stamp with a portrait and quote by Kofi Annan… To pay tribute to Kofi Annan, the stamp features a portrait of the late Secretary-General, which was illustrated by the famous Norwegian renowned artist and engraver Martin Mörck.
The quote on the stamp by Kofi Annan reads:
“To Live is to Choose. But to choose well, you must know who you are and what you stand for, where you want to go and why you want to get there.”
Both Annan and the UN were the co-recipients of the 2001 Nobel Peace Prize. Would you say they have they done enough work to support developing nations? Is UN interested in development or are they just patronising us while supporting the status Quo?
